Wedding Photography Website and Branding Hacks

Queen, you have achieved so much in your business already. Getting to this stage, where you actually can successfully delegate so much, is a milestone to be proud of. So, let’s make the best possible use of this power.

With the right brand and website design, you’ll be able to

  • Have a clear, beautiful website for your clients to use as a home base, which creates loyalty and ease!
  • Turn your traffic into clients, WHILE YOU SLEEP!
  • Breathe easier, knowing there are no more DIY-ing one of the most time-consuming parts of your business

I’m a firm believer that you don’t have to do it all alone. And, this is exactly why I’m here to share 3 brand and website hacks to up your game if you run a wedding photography business.

Hack #1 – Boost your wedding photography brand

Your branding is how you’re recognized by potential clients! So, don’t you want it to say as much as possible? The right branding will effortlessly captivate your personality and the client experience that you provide. In fact, your branding is the first thing that interested leads will encounter, so it needs to say as much about you as possible. First impressions matter.

Here are a few things to take into consideration when it comes to your wedding photography brand

The experience.

What does a wedding photography session with you entail? Are you hands-on? Or, do you like your couples to take the lead with what feels right for them?

Your experience also extends beyond the actual session. How should clients feel when first meeting with you? How about one week later?  These are all things that your branding should take into consideration.

The outcome.

As a wedding photographer, you know that your pictures say far more than words ever will. There is a reason that so many people want to capture their special day. The outcome you deliver also plays a big role in your branding.

If you shoot elegant pictures, delivered in black and white, this is something your branding should speak to.

If you shoot fun, romantic photos with a lot of colors and warm tones, again, your branding needs to reflect this.

At the end of the day, the clients you attract are influenced largely by your branding. So, by carefully crafting a branding identity that reflects your business, we will be able to attract the right people who will instantly fall in love with your style.

Hack #2 – Building Your Wedding Photography Website

As much as I love your carefully curated Instagram feed and cute quote captions, Instagram can only go so far when it comes to providing a white glove experience for your potential clients. This is why I suggest everyone – yes, EVERYONE – should have a glowing website.

Building your photography website is going to involve highlighting several key pieces of information. Here’s what it all comes down to:

  • A stunning and captivating homepage
  • Branding that reflects your personality and style
  • Photo galleries of past breathtaking work
  • An about page that tells your readers why YOU
  • A contact page that makes it as easy as 1,2,3 to get in touch with you

All these elements working together are key to ensuring that potential clients have a seamless experience when it comes to learning more about what you do and how you can help them.

Hack #3 – Make Your Wedding Photography Business Stand Out

Building a website is a great first step, but it’s all about the little details. These details are what will hook your audience in and have them asking for more info! When it comes to my clients, I like to look for their unique brand personality and infuse elements of this into their website to help them stand out.

But, on a more technical side of things, here are a few tips that prove the devil really is in the details when it comes to your wedding photography business:

  • Ensure your website can be easily navigated. This involves page links working properly, a smart website design that ushers your browsers through the buyer journey, and clear Call to Action buttons that direct them where to head next.
  • Place the most important content where it should be – at the forefront. This means, as soon as a browser opens your site, they instantly know who you are, what you do, and how you can help.
  • Showcase your strengths. You’re a photographer, so we want your photos to do the bulk of the talking. This involves highlighting what’s most important – past pictures – and leaving the unnecessary details to the side (no essay length paragraphs please)

Follow these tips and you’re sure to provide a top-notch user experience.
