Kayla and Zach are the absolute cutest of high school sweethearts, who had a Historic Carson House Wedding in Marion NC. They met in math class, and as her vows would tell you, Kayla wasn’t very good at math. The friendship blossomed and after years of love, laughter, and Zach handling any math that arose – they finally tied the knot!
Their wedding was held at the Historic Carson House in Marion, NC. This historic venue Is knows for its southern charm and beautiful rustic barn at the far end of the property. Her florals were perfectly matched for spring with beautiful bright colors that I was absolutely thrilled to photograph.
I love small, rustic, family-oriented weddings. They feel so special. Like every single moment is being cherished to the fullest by everyone in attendance. It is always such an honor to be a part of these weddings. All of the parents, friends, and extended family were in attendance to support Kayla and Zach on their big day. One of my favorite parts of the big day was the father-daughter dance. It was so elegant, reminiscing of a ballroom waltz. It was so sweet, and such a special moment between Kayla and her dad. It also did hurt that her gorgeous a-line ball gown was cut beautifully, and danced with her around the dance floor. Photos from their engagement were also strewn together on twine that hung all over the venue. I was so honored to see so much of my work placed everywhere. I swear I’m the luckiest person alive that gets to photograph such amazing couples!
I enjoyed my time with them so very much! Zach has a killer sense of humor, and the love these two shares is definitely one for the books. I wish them all of the happiness in the world! If you need any guide planning your own wedding, I suggest starting here!
