Example Wedding Day Timelines

Weddings

February 5, 2019

Congrats you’re engaged! I’m so excited that you decided to come to the Internet and hang out and learn about planning your wedding. Now I know time is valuable, so while you are here with me we’re going to work through all the kinks together, and help you build a wedding day timelines.

We’re going to start off with an example timeline to help you set up your day for success so you can kick back, have some champagne, and enjoy your big day.

Now what is the timeline you might ask, and why is it important? A timeline is a schedule of events that will play out on your wedding day. You may not have sprung for a fancy planner, but you definitely want to have a timeline together for your Wedding Day. It will ensure that everything runs smoothly and everyone knows where they are supposed to be and at what time.

It keeps your sister from calling and asking what time she supposed to be at the venue. It prevents the groomsmen from wondering what time they should be dressed.

It ensures that your groom or bride is ready for your first look right on time.

So in order to save you time, energy, and a little bit of cash I’m going to provide you with three examples of the wedding day timeline.

The first will be a timeline for an elopement ceremony which will last anywhere between two and three hours. If you don’t know what an elopement is stay tuned for the blog post coming at the end of this month because we’re gonna talk all about them.

6 Hour Timeline

The second will be a wedding about six hours in length. This is an average timeline for weddings on a moderate budget.

6 Hour Timeline

The final will be a 10-hour wedding photography timeline. Start to finish with all the little details in between.

10 Hour Timeline

You can also download these templates as a Google Doc so you can save them for your big day.   Just click the template, and Google will prompt you to copy them to your own drive!  If you are looking for a live workshop of how I build Wedding Day Timelines, click here!

As always if you have any questions feel free to reach out and I hope you enjoy it.
